First visit to Topkapi Palace, The great palace of the Ottoman sultans from the 15th to the 19th century was the private residence of the Sultan, home of the Divan (the seat of the Supreme executive and judicial control of great empire) and today a spectacular museum with one of the largest collections of Chinese and Japanese porcelain and housing the famous treasures of the Royal Family, among them some of the most spectacular gemstones* in the world.

Then The Blue Mosque will be visited. Built in the 16th century during the reign of Sultan Ahmet 1, is an imperial mosque with magnificent interior decoration of blue Iznik tiles and is unique in the Islamic World due to its six minarets paintings.

Grand Bazaar: apart from its historical importance, the bazaar will tempt even non-shoppers with its rich collection of precious handmade carpets, jewellery, leather goods and souvenirs. In 1461 Sultan Mehmet II built the first bazaar of wood, which, was reconstructed in 1894. In this labyrinth of streets and passages are more than 4,000 shops.


Tour 2: ST. CHORA CHURCH & GOLDEN HORN (Half Day ) Cost: 40- Euro per person,

This tour guides participants over the Golden Horn to the old city of Istanbul. Sites to be included: GOLDEN HORN The Golden Horn, an inlet of the sea dividing the European area of Istanbul into old Istanbul (year 300) and modern Istanbul (year 1600). Since antiquity this arm of the Bosphorus has been called the "Golden Horn" because of its shape like a horn and the golden colour of the water surface at sunset. KARIYE MUSEUM - CHURCH OF ST SAVIOUR IN CHORA The 11th century church of "St-Savior" in the Chora complex is a legendary Byzantine church decorated with extraordinary frescoes and mosaics portraying the life and miracles of Christ.


Tour 3: Full Day Istanbul Special Cost: 70 Euro per person,

Full day Tour including lunch at Daruzziyafe Restaurant. Tour starts at 09:30, driving to Dolmabahce Palace, which was the last residential Palace of Ottoman Sultans, well known with its crystals, chandliers, paintings which are the masterpieces of the World painters from 18. and 19. Centuries. Visit also includes the famous Great Ball Room of the Palace. Following the visit of the Palace, continue to old city drive along the city walls from 5th century, arriving to Mosque of Suleymaniye. This Mosque has got its name from the very well known Ottoman Sultan, Kanuni Sultan Suleyman, and was built during 16. Century.

A very typical Otoman Cuisine menu lunch will be served at Daruzziyafe Restaurant located within the complex of the Suleymaniye Mosque and still keeps 16.century decoration. After the lunch next visit will be to Yerebatan Cistern Underground Cistern from 6. century, which is the one of the Great Heritage of the World from Byzantine period.

Last visit of this program will be to Galata Tower which was standing from 6. Century. From the top of the Tower, guests will have the magnificent view of the Istanbul.


Tour 5 Bosphorus Cruise (Half Day) Cost : 25.- Euro ( by regular municipality public boat )
Tour Dates : 5, 6, 7 November 2008 Departure Time: 09:00 Return Time: 13:00
After a short visit to the famous Egyptian Spice Bazaar, a cruise starts between two continents, Europe and Asia with an unforgettable panorama of the European style, marble palaces, ancient wooden villas and luxurious residences. Disembark the Boat at Sariyer, and drive back along to European shores of Bosphorus to Hotels.

CANCELLATION OF DAILY TOURS must be sent in writing to Conference Secretariat.
Cancellations made 48 hours before the tour date will receive full refund less €20 for administration costs.
