The Methodist church officially became its own denomination just some time after the passing of John Wesley in 1795. But it was clear to see that the Methodist church had largely been created due to the inspirations of John Wesley, John Whitfield, and many of the other early Methodists. The Methodist churches of today are largely based on some key beliefs. One of the key religious beliefs for which Methodist churches were founded upon was the belief that those that members of the Methodist church are to avoid participating in any activity that may be deemed as wicked. Methodist churches are founded on the belief that we are to obey the proclamations of God. Also, Methodist churches were founded on the basis that they are to conduct as many good deeds as one possibly can. Methodist churches take on the belief that God is all powerful, all knowing, and has always been and will always be in existence. Furthermore, the Methodist churches take on the viewpoint of what is often called the Holy Trinity. This is the belief in Methodist churches that God is the makeup of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
]]>The members of this early Baptist church were Separatists that were interested in further reform within the church. Because of the new philosophies initiated and practiced by the early Baptist church, they were under much scrutiny for their new denomination of Christian religious practice. Thus, even gathering together at the Baptist church for a religious service was often a jeopardy to the well being of all those that attended.
One of the other beliefs that is still very much present within Baptist churches to date is the fact that salvation is achieved through an individual’s faith. Baptist churches, thus, deliver their messages on the basis of this theory. The belief within the Baptist churches is that the faith by which they are dependent upon in order to achieve salvation comes from the Bible. Baptist churches are characterized by the fact that they believe that in the death and the resurrection of Jesus Christ. The Baptist church strongly incorporates this religious belief into the way in which they base their philosophy of this denomination of the Christian religion.

This is generally believed in the religion of Catholicism, to be an act that is set to be performed at childhood. Catholic churches highly encompass their religious body on the words that come from the Bible. The Catholic Bible consists of the Old Testament, the New Testament, and the Apocrypha, which are the additional writings of the New Testament that have been rejected by some of the other Christian denominations. The Catholic church is a Christian denomination that practices under the virtue that the Bible is the pathway to the truth. Nevertheless, the feeling is that this truth is defined by the way in which the tradition of the Catholic church has defined these words. Catholic churches have a different method prayer than some of the other churches. The Catholic church believes that in praying to God, you must also pray to Mary or a Saint in order for their prayer to be conveyed on your behalf.
]]>The early Lutheran church did have some major disparities from the Catholic church that were noted. One of these was the way in which members of the Lutheran church could gain access to God. The new belief that was practiced in Lutheran churches is that, through the help of the scripture, each individual had the capacity to reach God. The Lutheran church did not believe that an individual had to go through a priest in order to be able to connect with God. The early Lutheran churches did not have as steadfast regulations when it came to the way in which baptism would be carried out. Thus, this influenced the latter Lutheran churches to offer baptism candidacy to both children and adults. Another dramatic change that was effective in the Lutheran church was the fact that the Lutheran church had formulated a church policy which stated that the church did not have to have a set program, that would repeat accordingly at each service. The Lutheran churches had the freedom to devise a service that fit their preference. One of the key principles of the Lutheran church was in regards to salvation and how it can be achieved. The Lutheran churches took on the belief of Martin Luther. The Lutheran churches believed that the key to salvation was faith. One of the key points stressed was that the works that a person does only counts towards salvation if it is done on the basis of faith. Finally, the Lutheran church took on the belief that salvation is something that can be achieved by all, due to the ultimate sacrifice of Jesus Christ.
]]>Part of the structure that is initiated in order to bring forth the proper order to the church is the clergy, or otherwise called as the officialdom. The clergy or the officialdom of churches are the members that have been selected in order to maintain a certain level of order and growth to the church. Churches usually call upon these members to lead certain religious rituals or ceremonies, and further spread the religious doctrine by teaching members of the church and beyond.
Churches generally have what is most often referred to as church services held on a periodic basis, usually weekly. These church services are a time in which the congregation is able to meet at a set time, as a group, and perform their traditional religious practices. There are many churches that offer such services an additional one to two times a week for that added element of convenience. Churches also have other services in which they come together in order to conduct their religious rituals. Some of the meetings that churches will hold in addition to the larger services are doctrine studies, choir rehearsals, clergy meetings, and additional praise and worship services.
Over the years, there have come to be quite a few denominations of the type of church that you may choose to attend. Some of the names of the types of denominations that one can choose to go to are the Catholic, the Lutheran, the Baptist, and the Methodist church. Depending on which church you decide to go to, there are some differences amongst the different denominations in terms of focus and modes of practice, but there are some key similarities that are going to be found in all churches.
