seminar themes 

The challenge of the seminar is to "provoke the potential of structural masonry" in all aspects. Themes of the seminar include mainly the articulation between system (macro), component (meso), and material (micro) behaviour of the structural masonry architecture. In this context, a number of important themes are defined with the keywords as: creativity, innovation, dematerialization, building physics, numerical techniques, non-destructive testing, structural behavior, seismic behavior, ancient masonry, renovation, retrofitting, conservation, repairing, ecology, economy, policy, practice and process.

Papers are expected from both, researchers and professionals relating to the seminar themes. Papers will be reviewed before publication in the Proceedings of the 8th International Seminar. Some of the papers will be selected for publication in a special issue of an International journal.
